About

Sleep Diagnostics of Fremont is a full service sleep disorder testing facility. Our goal is to work closely with your doctor to determine if your symptoms lead to a diagnosis of a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea.

Upon diagnosis, we can continue to work with your doctor to determine the treatment that will work best for you. Several treatment options are available for sleep disorders; but, the first step is getting an accurate diagnosis. At Sleep Diagnostics of Fremont, we strive to make sure that not only are our test results as accurate as possible, but your experience with us is warm and comfortable. You will spend the night with us in a cozy, private room (NOT A HOSPITAL!) under the professional care of our experienced sleep techs.

Sweet dreams!

He completed a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas in 2006-2007, where he was the Chief Fellow and trained under the supervision of Philip Becker, M.D. and John Herman, Ph.D., pioneers in the art of sleep medicine. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1992, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to receive his medical education at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he graduated in 1994 in the top portion of his class.

He completed his general psychiatry residency at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland in 1998. He practiced psychiatry in the community for 8 years where he witnessed first hand the significant health consequences of untreated sleep disorders and the incredible impact in treating them. Many of his patients’ neuropsychiatric symptoms and illnesses, such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, dissipated and improved to the point the no longer required their psychiatric medications. He also witnessed improvement in their cardiovascular and metabolic issues, leading to significant improvement in their quality of life. He concluded that untreated sleep disorders resulted in many health issues that could be PREVENTED! This led to his keen interest in learning more about sleep and pursuing fellowship training, furthering his passion for art and practice of sleep medicine.

Dr. Singh has published a review paper in the use of low dose doxepin for the treatment of insomnia and has participated in clinical research trials for novel treatments of insomnia and restless legs. He has participated in a variety of lectures and seminars across the United States educating health care professionals and the public on general need for quality sleep and how to recognize the presence of a sleep disorder and the most novel, evidence based treatments. Most of all, Dr. Singh gains fulfillment from treating patients and helping them, their spouses and their families regain satisfaction in the quality of their life and level of functioning.
