Home Sleep Testing (HST) and screening is now available at Sleep Diagnostics of Fremont.
In an effort to provide a simple and efficient sleep disorder screening tool to patients, we now offer home sleep studies. Home sleep studies do not replace in-lab sleep studies (still considered the gold standard in sleep disorder diagnosis and treatment), but do provide a simple, easy screening tool for basic obstructive sleep apnea, the most common type of sleep-related disorder.
For individuals wanting to screen for obstructive sleep apnea or hypopnea — that don’t have one of the contraindications listed below — home sleep screening with a home sleep study device maybe ideal.

Advantage of Sleep Diagnostics of Fremont Home Sleep Studies
You are totally backed up by a local and established full-service sleep disorder facility. This means you will be guided to the ideal home study device and your study will be read and interpreted by a local board-certified sleep physician. If your study shows complications or serious findings, our facility can back you up with additional consults and studies, and will guide you to proper treatment for your condition.
Two options to get started:
1. Call our office directly. We can initiate a consult with our board-certified sleep physician, who will write a prescription for a home sleep study, if that is determined to be ideal for your condition and complaints.
– or –
2. Your physician can directly refer you to our office for a home sleep study using our Sleep Evaluation Referral Form or their own. We will work with your physician’s office to handle any necessary paperwork.
Once approved, you will be given a home sleep study device and shown the simple hook-up, after which you will be able to take the test at home. After the test is complete the following day, you will bring the device back to us. We will download the study data, our physician will process the data, and we will let you know the results and next steps. If findings are serious or complicated, our physician will communicate with you and recommend the ideal follow-up steps.
Our goal is to provide you with the the best evaluation and diagnosis available. We will address your complete sleep disorder; therefore our treatment options include the full range of services available to you.
